Ballymoney Model Infant Sports' Day

ON Thursday last the P.1.- P.3 children at the Model had their Annual Sports Day.

A large number of parents enjoyed watching the children as they competed in the various events.

Mrs Nicola Thom who was appointed as the part-time numeracy support teacher this year was invited to present the cups to the year group winners.

Mrs Thom congratulated all the children for the sporting way they all took part in the races, stressed the importance of taking part and said that she thoroughly enjoyed her first Sports Day at the Model.

She said it was a great honour to be asked to present the prizes and commented on the warm friendly atmosphere pervading throughout the school. Mr McVeigh thanked the parents for coming to support the children and all the staff who had helped prepare and run the events.
