Ballymoney pupils race to F1 success
Ballymoney High School roared their way to success in the recent F1 schools’ challenge.
Fifteen boys from Year 11 made up the three teams in the school’s first foray into the competition with Team Entity F1 winning the award in their category for best engineered car. The A team won the award in their category for the fastest car.
The pupils had to research, plan, design and manufacture a Formula 1 car to race at the regional finals in Ballymena. The pupils had to give a presentation before their cars were scrutinised and then raced down a 20 m track.
Ballymoney High School are very proud of the pupils for the hard work they put in.
