Ballymoney railway bridge wins prestigious award

Key industry personnel from McLaughlin & Harvey, including partners Translink, Doran Consulting and M. Hasson & Son step up to receive the top award in the Transport Infrastructure section for the Ballymoney Railway Bridge at the prestigious CEF Construction Excellence Awards 2013. INBM43-13

At the recent Construction Employers Federation (CEF), Construction Excellence Awards 2013, Contractors McLaughlin & Harvey scooped first prize in the Transport Infrastructure section beating off stiff competition to win top spot. McLaughlin & Harvey were announced as section winners at a gala evening ceremony held in the Culloden Hotel on 26 September.

Mayor Councillor John Finlay said, “I was delighted as Mayor, back in March 2009, to be a one of the partnership members signing the Memorandum of Agreement for the Ballymoney Connect2 Scheme. I am even more delighted as Mayor, some four and a half years later, to have witnessed the Railway Bridge become a reality on the ground and to see its success in improving local access for people’s everyday journeys. To have won this prestigious award is a real pat on the back for Ballymoney!”
