Ballymoney sympathy to Polish community

BALLYMONEY Mayor, Alderman Frank Campbell, has expressed the sympathy of the citizens of Ballymoney Borough to the polish community following the death of their President and other leading Polish representatives in the air crash in Russia on Saturday.

Speaking on Monday, Mayor Campbell said: “Like communities elsewhere the citizens of this borough were greatly shocked at the air crash in Russia which claimed the lives of the Polish President and dozens of other polish political, military and religious leaders.”

He continued: “As the local community in Poland struggle to come to terms with the tragic loss of their President and other polish leaders I hope it will be of some comfort to them to know that the thoughts of my Council and the citizens of Ballymoney Borough are with the families of those killed and the Polish community in general at this sad time.”
