A new group of the U3A, as it is widely known, is to be started in Ballymoney.

The U3A is a charitable organisation for retired or semi-retired people interested in keeping mentally and physically fit.

Members meet together in groups on a weekly or monthly basis to pursue a wide range of interests, such as walking, book groups, learning a language, bridge and crafts. The possibilities are endless.

All U3As draw upon the knowledge, experience and skills of its members to organise and provide interest groups at minimal costs to members. The U3A believes that learning and sharing of knowledge in a friendly and informal setting is for fun and pleasure, not for qualifications.

If you think you may be interested in joining or helping to start a new U3A in the Ballymoney area, then we would encourage you to come to The Launch Meeting which is to be held in Ballymoney Town Hall on Tuesday 24 March at 2pm.
