Ten couples from all over Northern Ireland were selected to compete in the regional heat in the Stormont Hotel in Belfast.

The gang all participated in a group dance to ‘All That Jazz’ from the musical Chicago while Jackie and Sam danced in the competition to ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’.

And, the dancing duo avoided any “dance disasters” - to coin the favourite phrase of Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood - to be voted through to the All-Ireland final of the competition which will be held in Croke Park on September 13th.

They will compete against the winning couples from Leinster, Munster and Connaught while Bill, Kevin, Linda, Juliet, Ken and Sylvia will also travel to Dublin to perform their group dance.

The dynamic dancers have lost a combined total of 23 stones and 3 pounds since joining WeightWatchers.
