Nigel Spiers (47) of Flush Place was also given six points for the offence.

For permitting Andrew Spiers to drive without a licence he was fined £50 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy. The court heard the defendant’s son was stopped while driving a Case tractor at Dromara Road, Rathfriland, on July 2 this year. He said his father had permitted him to drive to recover another tractor. The defendant didn’t appear in court; the judge said his licence would be suspended until he handed it in.
