Ballywillan Group to present ‘CATS’ and ‘Legally Blonde’

In a highly ambitious move the award-winning Legally Blonde and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats will be presented within a few months of each other.

Auditions for both shows are taking place this May and Ballywillan are actively seeking interested people who would like to take part in either or both shows.

Ballywillan is one of a select few musical societies from around the UK and Ireland who have been chosen to stage Legally Blonde.

This superb new musical was a major success on Broadway and in London, where it starred Sheridan Smith, and is being brought exclusively to the North Coast and the Riverside for sixteen spectacular performances during January and February next year.

With Legally Blonde having an adult cast the casting of this musical is open to all persons sixteen years of age and over (or school year 12).

Following Legally Blonde, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical Cats will be staged in the Riverside during the last week of April 2016.

Catss nearing the end of an amazing and hugely successful revival at the London Palladium and Ballywillan are most privileged to have been offered excusive performance rights. Everyone appearing onstage in CATS must be under the age of twenty two.

An information, practice and registration evening for Legally Blonde will be held on Thursday, April 30 at 7.15pm with the actual auditions on Thursday 7 May at 7.15pm.

The CATS information, practise and registration evening is on Thursday, May 14at 7.15pm with the auditions the following Thursday 21 May at 7.15pm. The venues for these four evenings can be found on their website: ballywillan .com
