On behalf of the Association, Diane McMullan explained: “A great crowd turned out to see the Christmas Switch On in Balnamore. After Santa turned on the Christmas lights everyone made their way into the Community Centre and were entertained by various Choirs.

“As refreshments were being served Santa gave all the children a present before heading off to the North Pole for the final preparations. Balnamore Community Association would like to say a big thank you to Balnamore Primary School Choir, Eden Primary School Choir, Balnamore Community Choir for providing the entertainment, Can Can Bazaar for their help and also everyone who provided the refreshments and volunteered for this event. Further events will be advertised in the near future.“
