Hide AdIt’s well known that the hit HBO series has been filmed locally across each of its six seasons, yet Banbridge doesn’t make an appearance on the NI Filming Locations map.
The app shows locations such as Castle Ward, which was Winterfell, the home of the Stark’s, and The Dark Hedges, which became the King’s Road.
Banbridge was abuzz late last year as filming took place at the Linen Mill Studios and around the Corbet, which appeared to have been transformed into ‘Riverrun’, the ancestral home of author George R R Martin’s House Tully.

The spokesperson also said that the app currently only covers seasons one to five, with the highly anticipated season six not airing on Sky Atlantic until April 25.
They added that the app will be ‘constantly evolving’ and could feature Banbridge for season six.

“This is a tourism app and we cannot be seen to be encouraging trespass on private property.
“The app currently covers publicly accessible locations from seasons one to five, publicly accessible locations that will feature in the upcoming season six will hopefully be added in the next phase of development.”
Local fans may yet see Banbridge on the NI Filming Locations map. Now we just await the fate of Jon Snow...
