Rachel Hilditch from Pinley Drive, failed to appear in person at last week’s Magistrates Court, but Judge Copeland said there would be a conviction on the served evidence.

Hilditch was stopped by police on 6 August at Lurgan Road, Banbridge and the offence of no insurance noted. She then failed to produce her insurance within seven days.

Judge Copeland commented that the case had been in the court list seven times, to which her solicitor agreed to having “an ongoing saga with this defendant.”

Hilditch was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy and warned that she may face seven days in jail if the fine is not paid on time.
