Band rocking for charity!

LOCAL rock ‘n’ roll band Happy Shrapnel and a lot of their musical friends are back on Friday 30 March at the Portrush Playhouse for a third annual night of fundraising with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

The evening begins at 7.30pm and the line-up is impressive, regardless of your musical tastes.

There will be a total of 12 acts on two different stages, comprising of rock and roll bands, acoustic acts, solo performers and a disco.

Along with Happy Shrapnel, the bands include the Red Velvetines, Shine May Sun, The Hallion’s Cabaret, Becky & Jack, Sings & Strings, The Long and the Short Of It, and Chris & Scott.

Solo performers include The Classical World of Rob Campbell, and singer/songwriters Nigel Elliott, and Richard Brown.

The evening will be hosted by Q Network Radio’s very own DJ Ricky K, and will include the usual raffle, finger food (courtesy of the Playhouse), and an audition for a very special star prize.

With over £1,000 worth of prizes, tickets are £7.50 and are available from the Playhouse on the evening, or via Happy Shrapnel on their Facebook page.
