Band say thank you after parade

CRAIGAVON Protestant Boys’ annual parade at the start of the month was the largest in some time.

A spokesperson for the band said: “We wanted this occasion to be family friendly and we hope that the children who came to see us on the evening, and who are our future, enjoyed the sweets and crisps that we distributed.

“We are proud to report that this was our largest parade in a long time with 44 bands participating.”

A street collection was taken and £812 was raised. The band thanked all those who contributed.

Craigavon Protestant Boys (CPB) are interested in providing opportunities for young people to learn new skills, especially in music, and has invited any young people who might be interested to come along to band practice sessions in local community centres from 8pm to 9.30pm each Monday.

CPB are involved in local community groups. “We want to support our youth and provide opportunities for young people to meet together, to learn new skills and have a vision for their future,” said a band spokesperson.
