Bangers Irish Teams Championship at Nuttscorner

NUTTSCORNER Oval will stage the second annual Irish Teams Championship for the National Bangers on Sunday, February 21.

Already nineteen teams have signalled their intent to challenge for the crown, including two teams from mainland UK, meaning over 70 cars should be present in the pits.

The Banger stars will race in teams of four cars, with each painted in their chosen colours, and they will then use all tactics available to them to attempt to take the title.

Defending champion, The Assassins from Dublin, are definitely the team to beat in Irish Banger racing these days.

They will be fielding three teams, but will face stiff opposition from fellow Dublin crews Team Savage and Team Houndog, as well as local Ulster favourites Team Buckle.

The Birmingham based Scrapyard Screamers will aim to take the honours back across the water on their first visit, whilst The Allsorts have also drafted in a number of UK drivers to boost their ranks and could be the surprise package on the day.

It all adds up to some awesome and spectacular thrills and spills for the spectators, as no quarter is asked or given by these drivers.

There is also support race action from the non-contact 2.0 Hot Rods and Junior Productions on the bill, along with some all action racing from the exciting ProStocks. The first green flag of the day drops at 2pm.
