Bann B still lead division three

BANN B, playing at home in the rearranged league game, were faced with their third new team this year.

The team did not know what to expect as they had never played Antrim before, even though Bann were hot favourites to win this game because their opponents played on an artificial surface.

This was a difficult game to comment on - as one of the Banns rink won the first 11 ends but lost all of the remaining ends. Another rink of the locals won just one end from the opening seven but won all the remaining.

Nevertheless Bann won by 55 shots and claimed all seven points to remain still leading the division three leagues by four points.

Game details are as follows - Rink 1: Dale O’Keefe played as skip due to Jim Hamilton being unavailable. This young player did exceptionally well, lifting a six on the third end followed by a four on the fifth.
