Baptist Church supports shopping mums

A BRIGHT new initiative by the Baptist Church in Mount Street is benefiting not only parents but also the commercial centre of Ballymena.

The Baptist Church which is located within 100m of the Fairhill Centre is offering hard pressed mothers up to two hours carefree shopping.

Parents can leave their children into the crche at Mount Street where they will be cared for in a modern Crche facility supervised by a team of carers headed up by a fully qualified childcare worker with 17 years experience of playgroup management.

The crche has been viewed by the Social Services who are happy with the facilities and interested in the progress of the initiative which is the first of its kind in the area.

As a bonus parents can, if they wish relax at the coffee bar in the church and enjoy a chat over tea and scones.

The crche known as ‘Little Sparks’ is for babies and toddlers up to three years old and meets each Wednesday during the school term from 10.00am until 12.00 noon. There will be no crche on February 17 due to the mid-term school break. Further information can be obtained from Mrs Rae Fulton by telephoning 07708712665 or by calling into the church and viewing the facilities.
