Bar staff thought disabled man was drunk
Police have asked business owners, especially in the hospitality sector, to be aware of patrons who may have disabilities.
This comes after police received a complaint from a man with disabilities who was refused entry to a Ballymena bar.
The man was wrongly presumed drunk, sparking an altercation with door staff. No one was injured but police are anxious to avoid a repeat scenario.
