PUP representative Lexi Davidson visited the owner of the barbers to offer his sympathies after the business was burgled for a second time.

He said: “I visited a small business owner who, for the second time in only a matter of months, has found themselves targeted by thieves.

“This robbery of a small business in the High Street area of Lurgan town centre is a disgusting act committed by those who apparently have no respect for the community or work of small businesses.

“It is believed the incident occurred sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.

“My thoughts go to the owner of the business who has now had to endure this awful and stressful ordeal not once but twice.

“I commended their resolve not to allow this recent incident to deter them from the valuable service and employment they provide to our community.

“There has been a spate of robberies across the Lurgan area in recent weeks and I would encourage all business and home owners to be vigilant and contact the PSNI should they notice any suspicious activity.

“I would also ask anyone that witnessed any suspicious activity in the High Street/Millennium Way area of Lurgan on Friday night/Saturday morning to contact the PSNI or if you prefer please contact myself on 0792 074 6760 and I will relay the information, in confidence, on your behalf.”
