Bare chested man

WHEN police investigated reports of a disturbance, they saw a man standing bare-chested in the street, challenging a neighbour to come out and fight.

This emerged at Craigavon Magistrates Court on Friday, when Darren Hughes (19), admitted disorderly behaviour on November 30.

Hughes, of Albert Street, Lurgan, was ordered to do 80 hours community service, and District Judge Philip Mateer, also imposed a Probation order for 12 months.

Mr Mateer made it a condition of the order that Hughes must take part in an anger management programme.

A prosecuting lawyer said Hughes had a lot of drink taken at the time of the incident in Albert Street, in the early hours of November 30.

Defending solicitor Mr Conor Downey, stressed there is no animosity between Hughes and his neighbour.
