Barnardo's shop in Ballymoney raises £380 with toys

Barnardo's Ballymoney shop raised over £380 through toy donations as part of the annual Argos Toy Exchange Scheme in aid of the children's charity.

During the six week Exchange the shop received 32 bags of toys from customers worth approximately £12 a bag. In total Barnardo’s across the UK received 46,000 bags of toys worth over £550,000, which will support the charity’s work with less advantaged children.

Barnardo’s Director NI Lynda Wilson said: “I would like to thank everyone in the Ballymoney area who took part in the Scheme and donated pre-loved toys. The sales of these toys will enable us to continue our work supporting local children and their families. Currently in the local area we run a support group for young carers and offer a counselling service for children who have been bereaved.”
