Battle of Britain parade and service in Carrick

Uniformed youth organisations joined veterans for Carrick’s annual Battle of Britain commemoration on Sunday.

The parade and service was organised by Carrickfergus branch of the RAFA Association.

Led by the Jordan Memorial Accordion Band, participants set off from the harbour area to Joymount Presbyterian Church for a service of remembrance.

The salute was taken by Air Vice-Marshal David Niven and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Lynn McClurg.
