“I hope to raise in excess of £10,000 for this great cause. Doors will open at 7:30pm and the event will start at 8:00pm sharp.

“I would really like to see a complete sell out.

“The main fight of the night will be Jordan fisher against myself (Steven ‘the punisher’ Preston).

“Jordan is from South Belfast and won the Belfast dockers title a few months ago. It is going to be a big night out and I would welcome your attendance.”

DUP members have said they want to help promote the event and wish Steven every success with it. Speaking on the issue Cllr Carla Lockhart said: “Steven has a real passion to help the very well known and highly regarded charity Help for Heroes.

“This is commendable and I would encourage as many as possible to support his exciting and fun event and give generously to this great cause.”
