After ‘The Aaronic Blessing’ Andrew Hume read a portion of scripture from Acts ch.17 v 24 – 31 thoughtfully and clearly.

Rev Dr Stewart Jones delivered the children’s address using the snooze button on our alarm clock as the illustration of how God has set His time to call us and that we should not delay in giving our lives to the Lord.

Among the hymns were ‘Jesus, Friend of all the children’ and ‘Praise the Lord in the Rhythm of your Music’.

During the offering Judith Allen, on her flute, accompanied Linda Kennedy-McNeill on the organ with a beautiful rendition of the piece, ‘Jesus is the Name we Honour’.

James Rankin-Glenn, Craig Stevenson, Mark Campbell, Ryan Cochrane, Joe Robinson and Jordan Goligher, members of the Boys’ Brigade, collected the offering.

After the prayer of thanks, Rev Dr Stewart Jones dedicated and enrolled the officers, Mervyn McCombe (Captain), Matthew Craig, Sandra Olphert, Noelle Holmes, Pamela McCombe, Idena Buchanan, David Cochrane and Judith Buchanan. After the officers were enrolled, the members of the Boys’ Brigade were enrolled.

The last hymn was ‘Yield not to temptation’ and then The National Anthem was played. The colour party, Andrew Dougherty, Craig Campbell and Stewart McCombe led the boys from the church to the church hall. This concluded the act of enrolment.
