BBC One Show celebrities to meet Eddie in Armoy!

Well, tomorrow 8th November Eddie will be in the company of other celebrities in Armoy - celebrities from the BBC ’The One Show’!

You see it’s coming up to BBC ’Children in Need’ time again.

Maybe not everyone has heard of ‘The Rickshaw Challenge’ but The One Show and their team of young volunteers team will be passing through Armoy this Friday around 10 - 11am.

And they would dearly love people to come out and support the brave young people who are doing this 700 mile Rickshaw run.

And these teenagers do deserve support for they are a genuine inspiration to all of us.

These young people may have some sort of disability or have come through some trauma. But it is ‘they’ who are doing this great challenge. So this is a chance to be in Armoy on next Friday to give them a hearty North Antrim welcome and best wishes as they pedal on towards their destination on the following Friday Children in Need day in London.

And if young ones around Armoy don’t know much about rickshaws - well just ask Eddie Mc Lean!

Eddie has first hand experience of being chauffeured around London in a rickshaw. And boy would he love one for himself!

Eddie could make use of one: “I could carry around my tools, fill her up with sticks or even dander down to the Moss for three or four bags of peats. The folk aroun’ Armoy would have something to talk about then. It would be a tourist attraction- some job!”
