Chairman of the Board, Mr Michael Molloy hosted the event and VIP guest speaker was Dr Bill Wolsey OBE, owner of the Merchant Hotel in Belfast and Peter McNicholl, Social Media Expert was the MC for the evening. Representatives from funders and partners also attended including Elizabeth Thompson from TWN (Training for Women Network), Yvonne Leslie (Careers Guidance Officer, Jobs and Benefits) and Brenda Watson from Greenlight Gateway.

Michael Molloy said: “The event was our celebration of the success of our students and it also acknowledged every member of staff who supports them.  Our students were the stars of the evening and they should be very proud of their achievements and continue to aim high. This has been an excellent year for BCW Training with so many successes.  I know that we can continue to work to a high standard – both staff and students - and reap the rewards we so duly deserve.”

Bill Wolsey had some advice for the young students, he said: “You can achieve anything you want if you are passionate about it. A job is the most important thing you will do…..work for someone you respect and who will educate you”.

Student of the Year award winner Chloe Horner said: “I am honoured to receive this award. I just want to thank all my tutors for their support during my training, they have really helped me on my journey. I am now employed at Stephen Cairns Hairdressing in Ballymoney and progressing well on my NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing and loving my job”.
