If you know someone who is vulnerable, then why not sign up to be their 'Nominated Neighbour'.

The PSNI’s “Nominated Neighbour” scheme ensures that a vulnerable neighbour does not have to speak to any unrecognised callers at the front door.

It means that a neighbour must verify the caller’s identity before any approach can be made and if necessary, accompany the caller.

If it cannot be confirmed that a caller is on legitimate business, they should be asked to make an appointment. If an unknown caller continues to gain entry, call the police. Details and forms are available on the PSNI website or you can telephone 101 and ask to speak to your Crime Prevention Officer.
