Beach clean

CARRICK residents are being invited to help with a clean-up of three Islandmagee beaches.

A team of volunteers will remove litter from the shore at Browns Bay, Portmuck and Ballylumford next Saturday (September 18) as part of the Marine Conservation Society and Tidy NI’s Coastcare programme.

Data on the type of rubbish found will also be collected for the annual Beachwatch litter survey.

Participants are asked to meet at Browns Bay at 10.30am, moving to Portmuck at 12.30pm and Ballylumford at 2.30pm - comfortable shoes and waterproof jacket recommended.
