‘Beauty of Ulster’ Flower Festival weekend ahead at St John’s Church Moneymore

ST John’s Church in Moneymore is to hold a three-day festival celebrating 180 years of the church and giving thanks for the beauty of Ulster.

On Friday May 25 floral displays will be on view in the church between 2pm and 8pm. There will be freshly prepared sandwiches and cakes available as well as hot and cold drinks in the church hall.

At 8pm there will be a performance by the Sperrin Choir, followed by refreshments.

On Saturday May 26 there will be a Fun Day including floral displays from 10am until 5pm and live music in church. There will also be freshly prepared lunches and refreshments served throughout the day as well as a barbecue and large number of stalls. Children’s activities will include sky rides, face painting and storytelling. There will also be vintage and classic vehicle displays and an all-day craft demonstration.

On Sunday May 27 there will be a family service at 11.30pm with Rev P Hoey. Between 2pm and 7pm floral displays can be viewed and at 7pm there will be a Songs of Praise service with Lord Eames.
