Beauty queens step up to support Portstewart Hospice Walk

SWAPPING their glamorous heels for walking shoes, Miss Northern Ireland Alison Clarke, Tiffany Brien and Claire McCollum have launched this year’s Hospice Walks for Northern Ireland Hospice.

The charity ambassadors are encouraging everyone in the borough to step up and support the local charity by making miles of difference to the

lives of terminally-ill people and their families. The Portewart Hospice Walk - a three mile walk along the scenic Strand Beach, takes place on Saturday, April 20 at 10am.

Tiffany Brien says: Walking is such a fun exercise, you can get your family and friends together and choose a walk and distance that suits you. It is not a race so it can be taken at your own pace, and every step really does count for those in need of hospice care.”
