Paul Christopher Withers (49), Sloan Street, Lurgan, admitted disorderly behaviour and indecent behaviour when he appeared last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

The court heard that on June 13 this year a police mobile patrol saw the defendant urinating against a wall in Church Place, Lurgan. Withers was intoxicated, stumbling and nearly fell over.

He told police to ‘f—k off’ and added ‘I’m going to f—king do you in’. The defendant was told to calm down but he told police: “I’m going to f—king wreck you.’

A solicitor representing Withers said all the offences on his record were alcohol related and he had spent time in the Downshire hospital to try and address his problems.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said he needed a pre-sentence report to decide how best to deal with this because the court could not let this behaviour continue.

Sentencing in the case was adjourned until October 21.
