Keith McMurray (25), of Albert Avenue, Lurgan, was fined £200 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for disorderly behaviour on June 21 this year.

The court heard that at 1.20am in William Street, Lurgan, police saw the defendant arguing with another man and grabbing him by the shoulders. Police told him to stop and McMurray became agitated and abusive.

He told them: “F—k off, I am talking to him. It’s nothing to do with you. F—k off.” The defendant was warned about his behaviour but continued to be abusive.

A defending barrister said that with drink taken McMurray had got into an argument with his friend and did not welcome police involvement.

He added that when his client was cautioned by police he made his way home without any argument.
