Bed Push for new local charity – vision4kids

TO co-inside with their official launch, a new Ballymoney based charity will be holding a series of events starting with a Bed Push and Street collection in Ballymoney this Saturday (6th November).

vision4kids is a new Christian based charity with a vision to help children and young people both at home here in Northern Ireland and worldwide wherever there is a need to improve the quality of life. They focus on four main areas including, Education, Welfare (Poverty Relief), Health and Spiritual Need.

In January the charity held a collection in the town with the people of Ballymoney raising almost 1,800 all of which went to providing Winter Bible Camp facilities for street children and orphans in Poland. This included their accommodation, food, transport and activities for a full week.

Founding Trustees Irwin Holmes, Stephen Fletcher and Irwin Adair are no strangers to charity work as in 2008 along with three other friends they scaled the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa while raising 22,000 to help build a school in Kenya.

The finale in the series of events will take place on Saturday 26th February 2011 with the Charity Launch and Evening of Praise in Ballymoney Town Hall with artists including Revelation and Kathryn Mitchell; for more details and tickets please contact Irwin on 07801 287138.

So this Saturday when you see the team on the streets of Ballymoney, show your support as you know the money will be going to help children who are in need of a better way of life.
