Bed Push for trio who face the Los Tres Picos Challenge 2012

Three young people from the Ballymoney area have pledged to raise £1,000 each in a fundraising climb of the three highest mountains in Spain.

Hannah Holmes, Samuel Hanna and Ashleigh Calderwood plan to complete the Los Tres Picos Challenge 2012 by climbing the three highest peaks in a three day challenge!

Sierra Nevada contains the highest peaks in Western Europe outside the Alps. This is the ultimate “big one” for all charity fundraising in the Spain. Mulhacen (3482m), Veleta (3398m) and Alcazaba (3371m) are the mountains involved.

This is a tough challenge because of the remoteness and altitude, however the expertise of the Spanish Highs trekking company who will be on hand to oversee the project, will ensure a safe and enjoyable trip.

Each of the trio have nominated a vision4kids project to benefit from their efforts, which is a new Christian based charity with a vision of helping children and young people around the world wherever there is a need to improve the quality of life.

As part of the fundraising Hannah, Samuel and Ashleigh have organised a bed push in Ballymoney town centre on Friday 10th August from 9am until 5pm and are looking for donations from the public. So if you see the trio please given generously.

vision4kids would like to thank Hannah, Samuel and Ashleigh who are part of a five strong team for their efforts and wish them every success in their venture. Read more about vision4kids at www.vision4kids.org
