Delivered by Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Policing and Community Safety Partnership, Bee Safe is a multi-agency community safety initiative aimed at encouraging ten and eleven year olds to adopt good safety habits.

Thursday was the first of a number of Bee Safe events being held across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon district with a further two days to take place in Banbridge in February.

The secret to its success is that it conveys so many important safety messages to a young audience in a short space of time through the use of interactive learning experiences.

At Thursday’s event in Banbridge the PCSP focused on stranger danger, on-line safety, kitchen hazards, recycling, fire safety, dangers of alcohol, electricity safety, bus safety and recycling.

The children were all asked to write comments about what they thought of the event before they left and all comments were very positive.
