Beggs praises '˜swift action' of PSNI after weekend assault
Ulster Unionist MLA Roy Beggs has welcomed the PSNI's 'swift action' to arrest and press charges related to a serious assault in the Royal Oak bar in Carrick, on Saturday night.
In a statement, Mr. Beggs said: “I was horrified to learn of the vicious attack on the Royal Oak barman which has left him with serious head injuries. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family and I hope that he will have a full and speedy recovery.
“I would urge witnesses to this vicious crime to assist the criminal justice system.”
