Behaviour ‘inexplicable’

Emma Margaret Creaney (29), Birchdale Manor, Lurgan, admitted stealing goods valued at £10.99 from Sainsbury’s, goods valued at £17.95 from Discount NI, goods valued at £32.50 from Boots and goods valued at £27.92 from Home Bargains on September 15 this year.

She was given a conditional discharge for three years for each offence.

The court heard that she was detained in Sainsbury’s and a search of her bag revealed other items which she could not account for. She admitted the thefts.

Her solicitor said her behaviour was completely inexplicable and this was totally out of character.

He added that she was highly embarrassed to be in court.
