Being a dad '˜is best job I have ever had' says Billy as he praises Sure Start

Billy Allen, who is married to Stacey and has two children, Lucas (almost 3) and Bella (16 months), has been a regular attender at the Blossom Sure Start programme in Portadown and has urged other fathers to give it a go.

He said, “We feel that as a family we have all benefited greatly from the courses we went to.

“Baby massage was great because it helped to solidify the bond between Lucas and me, which, as a father, was something I was concerned about.

“Another course we went to was paediatric first aid which taught us a lot and has helped us remain calm when accidents have happened.”

The couple also attended parenting courses, which helped them learn techniques on how to handle challenging situations.

Said Billy, “While we are at courses, our children are at the creche.”
