The first goal came when Law was upended in the box and Edgar drilled home the resulting free kick.

Law grabbed the second goal after some fine build up play.

Carton and his back four of Gilmore, Grissam, Woods and Edgar were in top form and were all looking to go forward to get the third.

Their efforts paid off when Campbell's cross deflected into the City net for the third, this left the half time score 3-0.

Kane and Campbell were causing all sorts of problems for the away team, but the chances that were created were all wasted.

The under 14’s travel to play Foyle Harps this Saturday.

A depleted team took on an in-form Cliftonville at Coleraine University on Saturday.

Missing from the line up was Luke Forgrave, Conor Convery and Connor McGookin, this gave Scott Anderson, Maurice Aryes and Stewart Bradley a chance to prove themselves.

It was the home side who started the brightest with debutante Aryes having the first attempt. Henry to threaten but the Reds keeper did well to turn the shot around the post.

Despite the pressure it was Cliftonville who took the lead from a corner.

Determined to get something from the game, the Peacocks started the second half strongly. But the Reds keeper was proving hard to beat, efforts from Leese and Moore-Wilson, Stewart and Henry came to nothing.

Cliftonville doubled their lead against the run of play much to the dismay of the Bertie’s players.

The goals injected the Reds with great confidence and they added four further goals to complete a 6-0 victory.

Praise must got to Dean Brown, Adam Leese and Keith Gallagher for their hard work in the game.
