Best foot forward for Diabetes UK

DIABETES UK is calling on Coleraine Times readers to put their feet first for diabetes and register to take part in their local ‘Walk the Park’.

The fundraising walk will take place on the Whiterocks Beach on Saturday, June 9 at 10.30am.

Latest figures reveal that almost 2,500 people in the Coleraine Borough Council area have been diagnosed with diabetes.

The event is one of 16 taking place across Northern Ireland to raise funds for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland.

This is the first time a walk has been organised in the Triangle area and the charity is hoping for great support.

The walk is two miles long so the entire family can take part and the route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs with dogs allowed on leads. Everyone who completes the route will receive a medal.
