The 76-year-old has hosted the popular Ladies’ Luncheon event for the past 25 years and the event has been one of the main fundraising sources for her charity work.

Betty said: “My charity fundraising will be continuing and I look forward to hosting this year’s luncheon.

“Of course, I want to thank everyone for their support over the past 25 years, particularly my husband Billy and family, and also the team at the Templeton Hotel.”

This year’s Ladies’ Luncheon will be held in the Templeton Hotel on Wednesday, March 2 and gets underway at 12noon with drinks on arrival followed by a four course meal at 12.30pm.
