Bewitching mayor mingles with ghost walkers

Glenarm  Walk leaders and Glenarm Village Committee were very pleased to welcome to their annual Halloween Ghost Walk a bewitching Lady Mayor.

Cllr Gerardine Mulvenna could be identified  only by her mayoral chain as she mingled with the many witches, ghouls, skeletons, vampires and others in fancy dress.
Ideal weather conditions encouraged lots of families to travel to the event, which sees the castle as the centre piece  transformed with some elegant spooks and some gruesome characters which create a great deal of atmosphere and a lot of screaming.

The Hallowee’n spirit was evident in well decorated windows and through the forest, where ghosts were on the loose overhead and below.
Organisers were delighted to welcome 45 children and adults from Antiville Community Association.

Cllr Mulvenna said: “I have been doing the ghost walk many times since it started and it just gets better every year.

“It’s the amazing ambience of the Glenarm Castle grounds, linked into the forest, that makes it such a magical night.”
