Biesty's Centra staff know their limits

EIGHT members of staff from Biesty's Centra in Ballymoney have successfully completed their 'Off Limits' training, which is endorsed by the Federation of the Retail Licensed Trade.

The training took place in April and was organised by Ballymoney Community Safety Partnership as part of their action plan on addressing the misuse of alcohol.

The training covered legal duties with regard to the sale of alcohol; the theory and practice of responsible retailing; and alcohol awareness exploring the effects the misuse of alcohol has on the individual and the community as a whole.

Glenn Biesty, owner of Biesty’s Centra commented: “We are seriously committed to the responsible retailing of alcohol and all other age restricted products.

“Eight of the Centra team attended the training and found it extremely beneficial; this course gives our staff greater knowledge and therefore confidence to deal with potentially difficult situations. I would like to commend the Ballymoney Community Safety Partnership for facilitating the ‘Off Limits’ programme.”
