Big Bann Canoe Challenge

THE Canoe Association of Ireland is organising the second Big Bann Canoe Challenge to take place in August.

Such was the success of last year’s, that another one is planned for August 18-19, supported by Waterways Ireland.

The aim of the Bann Challenge is to encourage all levels of paddlers, including beginners and those with disabilities, to enjoy a fun, two-day trip on the beautiful Lower River Bann from Newferry to Drumaheglis, near Ballymoney, with an overnight camp at Portneal Lodge in Kilrea.
