Big Bus coming to Coleraine Diamond

ACTION Cancer is bringing its mobile unit, the Big Bus, to the Gordons Chemists in Coleraine this month, to mark its fifth year of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) campaign partnership with the pharmacy chain.

The unit, which is the first of its kind in Europe, will be located at The Diamond, Town Hall in Coleraine on Monday, October 22.

The BCAM campaign runs throughout October and encourages women aged 40 to 49 and 70+ to come forward for a free breast screening. For the duration of the campaign Gordons Chemists, Northern Ireland’s largest independent pharmacy chain, provides breast screening request forms in store for customers to complete and attend a follow-up screening onboard the Big Bus or at Action Cancer House, Belfast.

Anyone interested in making an appointment for the Big Bus when it is in Coleraine should telephone Action Cancer in advance on 028 9080 3344.

Appointments will be available from 10.00am to 3.00pm each day. Bookings are taken on a first come first served basis as there are a limited number of appointments for all services.
