Big changes at Asda Coleraine

The Asda store in Coleraine is set to benefit from a £1.6 million remodel, transforming the supermarket into a more comfortable and convenient shopping location.

As part of the expansion the store will also create 19 new permanent jobs.

The investment comprises a substantial refurbishment of the café, checkouts and aisles. Additionally the store will benefit from a new pizza counter as well as a music & technology desk - popular fixtures at Asda’s other NI stores.

Explaining the remodel, Asda Coleraine general store manager Roy Warke said, “This is a big investment for the store and once completed Asda Coleraine will look and feel fantastic. Our aim is to make shopping easy, fun and affordable - all in a well designed and highly accessible store.”

“We have responded to our customers’ needs by expanding ranges such as Entertainment, improving the café and upgrading our checkouts as part of the remodel. And in particular we know customers are looking forward to trying the new pizza counter. ”

The refurbishment scheme began earlier this month and will complete mid-September. The café will be closed during this period, however all other disruption will be kept to a minimum.
