Big donation, big help says British Heart Foundation

The Day marks the launch of the nation’s biggest stock appeal this September - The Big Donation.

This year the annual campaign aims to bring in a whopping 600,000 bags with Northern Ireland BHF shops alone hoping to receive 11,160 bags throughout the month - raising an impressive £223,200 to help fight heart disease here.

Everyone can help by donating good quality clothing, shoes, accessories, CDs, DVDs, books, toys and bric-a-brac.

Kristen Elliott, Regional Manager for BHF Northern Ireland Shops said: “Has the shine gone from that striking summer dress? What about those shoes which look amazing but pinch?

“Stock is the lifeblood of BHF Shops and I really hope the local community show their support for The Big Donation this year by dropping by their local BHF Shop on National Donate Day.

“Every donation is vital and will help us continue our lifesaving work.”
