Dervock pupils Sam Beverland and Molly Flack organised a sponsored walk for The Smiles Foundation, a Christian charity “bringing hope and smiles to Romania”.

Two of their teachers, Mrs Honor Crowe and Miss Jacqui Galbraith, are part of a team of 29 travelling out to Romania on a Mission Trip on 3rd July with Barbara Morrison, Development Ambassador for Smiles.

Last Saturday, they all walked ten miles along the coast from Bushmills with Molly’s mum Louise, Mrs Rosemary Surgeoner and Francis McKinney.

After raising sponsorhip, they raised a fantastic sum of £463 for Smiles. This money will be used to build a new family House in the village of Rapa. The school community of William Pinkerton Memorial are regular supporters of the Smiles Foundation.
