Big ice cream giveaway at Morelli's parlour

MORELLI'S Portrush is giving away free ice cream as part of a national campaign to help raise thousands of pounds for disabled and disadvantaged children.

The big giveaway is happening on April 1 - and it’s not an April Fool - with thousands of ice creams being given away to raise money for the Variety Club Children’s Charity.

Morelli’s Director, Daniela Morelli, said: “It may seem crazy to give our ice cream away but it’s a great way of giving our customers a free treat while also helping to raise money for an extremely worthwhile cause.”

The big giveaway has been organised by The Ice Cream Alliance and Chief Executive Officer Zelica Carr said: “We want to give people a foretaste of summer with our National Free Scoop Day and remind them how great ice cream is. Hopefully they will also make a donation to the Variety Club charity.”

Morellis will be supplying free vanilla ice cream dispensed at its parlour in Eglinton Street on Thursday.
