This grant enabled the Lodge to insulate completely the outside of the Orange Hall; to replace the old windows with up to date energy efficient windows and replace the old heating boiler with a new up to date high efficiency central heating boiler. All this refurbishment has greatly reduced the cost of heating the hall.

Two new cookers plus and automatic fill and heat boiler were purchased for the kitchen.

Without this grant from the Big Lottery Fund the Lodge would not have been able to carry out the refurbishment. “Thanks to all those in the Big Lottery Office for their co-operation and unending assistance,” said a spokesperson for the Lodge. “Thanks also to the contractors who carried out the work in a professional manner.”
