Big turnout at Prehen

A VERY impressive turnout of over 30 teams enjoyed the magnificent weather at Prehen over the weekend to take part in the India House Restaurant and Kular Clothing sponsored two day team event.

Competition for the fabulous prizes was intense and the winning team had to produce a record breaking score to take them home. Captain of the victorious squad George Jackson in his acceptance speech was loud in his praise of his teamates Eric Watson, Sean McKane and Andy McFeeley especially their performance on the second day, an absolutely incredible 102 points.

They in turn were followed home by the team led by competition convenor Martin Doherty ably assisted by club secretary Tony McCann, Tony Murray and Malachy Armstrong. Indeed they themselves had set a new record of 97 points on the Sunday and looked sure fire winners until the last minute. Club captain Brian Abel thanked the sponsors for their most generous gesture in supporting the club.
